Terms of Service
Effective July 11, 2026
1. The service
Lawstaff.ai (the “Service”) is a legal operations platform that provides AI-assisted administrative staff for law firms — including reception, intake, case management, billing, collections, recruiting, HR, and marketing functions — supervised by the subscribing firm. The Service is operated by The Jakovenko Group (“we,” “us”).
2. Not legal advice; professional responsibility
The Service provides administrative software and workflow assistance. It does not provide legal advice, and no output of the Service constitutes legal advice. Attorneys using the Service remain solely responsible for all professional judgments, for supervising work product as required by applicable rules of professional conduct (including duties analogous to ABA Model Rules 1.6, 5.1, and 5.3), and for all filings, communications, and decisions made in their practice.
AI-generated drafts, recommendations, benchmarks, and analyses are assistive starting points that require attorney review. You must not rely on them without independent verification.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for safeguarding access credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other firms' data, using the Service to violate rules of professional conduct (including solicitation rules), sending unlawful communications, or reverse-engineering the platform.
4. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you provide to the Service, including firm knowledge, standards, client-related information, and data imported from connected systems (such as QuickBooks Online). We process that data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to provide any data you connect or upload, including compliance with your confidentiality obligations.
5. Connected services
The Service can connect to third-party systems (for example, Intuit QuickBooks Online) with your authorization. Your use of those systems is governed by their own terms. You may disconnect a linked service at any time from Settings, which stops further data access by the Service.
6. Fees
Paid plans are billed as described at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice effective at your next renewal.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service, including the LegalAdministrator.ai intelligence layer, software, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your firm's internal operations during your subscription.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR MATTER.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms. Upon termination, we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before deletion.
11. Governing law; changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified through the Service, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
